491 views Its David T. again. I wanted to send you some new pictures and results from a race I was in yesterday. It was a one and a half indurance race. There were 5 teams with 3 people being on each team. We were the only electric team there! Everyone else was running 1/8 scale nitro buggies and truggies. We were supposed to race on the outdoor track but in got rained out (Good Northeastern Ohio weather LOL) so we had to race on there indoor track. We all ran 7.4v 6000 batteries. We were getting an average run time of 20min per battery. I was able to run 25 min until I noticed a voltage drop. We finished in 2nd place and I was able to led the race for 20 laps. Are team completed a total of 258 laps. Here is the link with the race results,

Tim Mohr at the Kansas Dirt Oval Championships782 views
Event- Kansas Dirt Oval Championships
Venue- Checkered Flag Raceways
Location- Bonner Springs, Kansas
Date- Sat, Aug, 4th
Media Coverage- both RC Driver, and Xtreme RC Cars covered the event, should be in around their December issues
Misc- this event was held at an outdoor, dirt, oval track...
i ran two classes at this event.......
1. 18th Scale 4wd (using a FT RC18T, powered by CC 6800kv motor off a MaxAmps.com 2S 1100 mah lithium pack)
2. 10th Scale Modified Truck (using a FT RC10T4, powered by a CC 5700kv motor off a MaxAmps 2S 6000 mah lithium pack)
In 18th Scale 4wd, i got the TQ and lapped the field to win the main event...
in 10th Scale Modified Truck, i got the TQ, but came up just a bit shy in the main, getting a hard fought 2kd place..
all my packs performed flawlessly.... despite the 100+ degree ambient temps, and high continuous discharge rate (we rarely let of the gas all race long), all my packs remained at very reasonable temperatures, and were still able to put out awesome voltage...
lastly.... my CC and MaxAmps teammate, Wesley Dennis, had some great runs at this event as well..... Wes pulled out the win in 18th scale 2wd, and finished second to me in the 18th scale 4wd class, helping us put in a clean sweep of both the 18th scale class wins for MaxAmps....
as always guys.... it's a pleasure to run with, and win with, your products.... thanks very much as always.....

Bruce Williams - aspire conversion243 viewsI replaced the stock brushed motor and 1800 mhp battery with a Himax 2825 with 4.28:1 reduction gear and powered it with a maxamps lipo 4000hv3s 11.1v. It has a 1.28 to 1 weight to thrust ratio. Goes straight up to alt in about 10 sec. 2hr flight times are no problem . over 300 flights on this rig and still going strong.

Larry Porter261 viewsHey guys check this out! This Funtana 90, with a 70" wingspan, is hanging on its prop, with the help and faith of MaxAmps batteries (note the maxamps logo on the rudder). The setup in this plane are 3 5000hv packs at 9s. Flight time is from 10 minutes to 13 minutes depending on pilot input. It has a 22 x 10 prop & a Jetti Spin 99 speed control. It bursts 96 amps! This plane is always a huge hit at the flying field. Good job Max Amps & thank you so much.

Jay's Mod'd Stampede571 viewsProject is following after Jang's Ultimate Stampede. You can search Ultimate Stampede. The rear drive has been widened, removal of portions of the chassis have been made to lighten the weight. The battery has been placed under the chassis to lower the center of gravity. All adjustable shocks so that changes can be made easily depending on the track conditions. Novak bushless system has been added. This truck handles great on the dirt oval tracks and is just as fast as the gas counterparts. Anyway here are some pics if your interested. I just enjoy working on the thing to see what I can do to make it more track worthy. If you look at the Ultimate Stampede site then you will also see that Jang widened the front. I have likewise done the same. http://www.ultimatetraxxas.com/stampede.html
